Privacy Policy for KickTrack
Last Updated: May 3, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how KickTrack ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the KickTrack browser extension and associated web application (collectively, the "Service"). Your privacy is important to us.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the KickTrack Service (browser extension and web dashboard) while logged in, we collect the following types of information:
- KickTrack User Identifier: When you authenticate using Kick.com's OAuth, we receive and store a unique identifier associated with your KickTrack account. This allows us to link your watch data specifically to you.
- Email Address: We collect and store the email address associated with your Kick.com account when you authenticate through Kick.com's OAuth. This email is stored securely in our database.
-
Watch Activity Data: While the extension is active
on Kick.com, we collect information about the streams you watch,
including:
- The Kick username (streamer ID) of the channel.
- Associated stream metadata provided by Kick.com (e.g., category, language), when available.
- Timestamps indicating when you start and stop watching (based on tab activity and audio detection).
- Calculated watch durations derived from these timestamps.
- Authentication Tokens: We securely store access and refresh tokens obtained via Kick.com's OAuth flow. These are used solely to maintain your logged-in session with KickTrack.
We explicitly DO NOT collect:
- Your Kick.com password.
- Personal communications (emails, chats).
- Precise location data (IP addresses may be logged by our hosting provider, Supabase, for security and operational purposes, but are not actively used by KickTrack for tracking).
- Detailed browsing history outside of Kick.com streamer pages.
- Website content (text, images, video content itself).
- Sensitive personal information (health, financial data).
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used exclusively for the following purposes related to providing the KickTrack Service:
- To calculate and store your personal watch time statistics on Kick.com.
- To display these statistics and related visualizations (charts, KPIs) to you on your private KickTrack dashboard.
- To maintain your logged-in session with the KickTrack service.
- To monitor and improve the performance, stability, and functionality of the KickTrack extension and web application.
- To send you communications about KickTrack, including but not limited to: service updates, new features, newsletters, and promotional content.
- Aggregated and anonymized data may be used for internal analytics to understand general usage patterns of the Service.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your watch activity data and user identifier are stored in a database hosted by our infrastructure provider, Supabase.
Authentication tokens obtained via Kick.com OAuth are stored securely using Supabase's encrypted Vault feature. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal watch data or user identifier with third parties for marketing or other purposes.
We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: With infrastructure providers like Supabase, who process data on our behalf solely to provide the storage and database functionality necessary for the Service. They are obligated to protect your data.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
5. User Rights and Data Control
You can view the watch data associated with your account via the KickTrack dashboard.
If you wish to delete your KickTrack account and associated watch data, please contact us at the email address provided below. We will process your request in accordance with applicable laws. Please note that deleting your KickTrack account does not affect your Kick.com account.
You can stop data collection at any time by logging out of the KickTrack service via the extension popup or by disabling/uninstalling the extension.
