Terms of Service for KickTrack

Last Updated: April 25, 2025

Welcome to KickTrack! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KickTrack browser extension and associated web application (collectively, the "Service"), provided by KickTrack ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing the extension or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

KickTrack is designed to help users track their watch time statistics on the Kick.com streaming platform. The browser extension monitors your activity on Kick.com when you are logged into both Kick.com and KickTrack, specifically tracking which streams you are watching and for how long. This data is then processed and displayed to you in a personalized dashboard on the KickTrack web application.

KickTrack is an unofficial tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kick.com (yet 😅).

2. Data Collection and Usage

To provide the Service, KickTrack collects the following information when the extension is active and you are watching a stream on Kick.com:

We DO NOT collect, store, or have access to your Kick.com password. Authentication is handled via Kick.com's official OAuth flow. The access tokens granted through this process are securely stored using Supabase's encrypted Vault feature and are used solely to identify your session with KickTrack and associate watch data with your account.

The collected data is used exclusively to:

We do not sell or share your individual watch data with third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., data storage with our infrastructure provider, Supabase). Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for analytical purposes to understand service usage.

3. Tracking Mechanism

The KickTrack extension determines watch time based on browser tab activity. Time is generally counted when a Kick.com streamer's page is open in your browser and the tab is detected as playing audio (even if the tab is in the background or the browser is minimized). A grace period is included to account for brief interruptions or delays in audio detection. Tracking requires you to be logged into both Kick.com and KickTrack.

4. User Responsibilities

5. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the statistics provided, as they depend on the proper functioning of the Kick.com platform, the browser's reporting mechanisms, and the extension itself. Data discrepancies may occur.

KickTrack is not responsible for any changes made by Kick.com that may affect the extension's functionality.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KickTrack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on the KickTrack website or through other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
