Spring 2025: Foundation (Current)

• ✅ MVP Functionality: Successfully developed and launched the Minimum Viable Product including core watch time tracking, secure Kick OAuth login, and a basic statistics dashboard.
• ✅ Chrome Extension Published: Released the extension on the official Chrome Web Store.
• ✅ Redis Implementation: Implemented a scalable Redis-based heartbeat buffering system with batch processing to improve performance and reduce database load.
• ✅ Simple Dashboard Visualizations: Created initial charts and visualizations for viewing statistics.
• ⏳ Bounty Program Participation: Entered KickTrack into a developer bounty program. Results are anticipated around May 21st, 2025, which may influence future development scope and speed.

Summer 2025: Architecture & Seasonal Framework (v1.0.0)

Our focus will be on rebuilding the foundation and implementing the seasonal system.

• 🗄️ Seasonal Data System: Create the infrastructure for quarterly data archiving and access.

• ✨ UI Refresh: Improve the dashboard interface with a focus on seasonal themes and better user experience.

Fall 2025: Achievement System (v1.1.0)

Gamifying the watch experience with achievements and rewards.

• 🎮 Milestone Rewards: Create achievements based on watch time, streaks, and content discovery.
• 👤 Profile Enhancements: Add badges, customization options, and personalized statistics.
• 🏅 Leaderboards: Implement seasonal rankings for achievements and watch time.

Winter 2025-26: Year Recap & Solidification (v1.2.0)

Creating a personalized year-in-review and solidifying the platform.
